“Rosie has expertise in, and 20 years of valuable experience working with children. Her strong connection with children and her passion for helping them achieve their full potential allows her to tap into the child’s imagination and to maximize their own innate potentials. This makes it much easier to effectively facilitate changes in behaviour patterns, and alleviate many childhood conditions. The resulting shifts may not be limited to the child, but can have a dramatic effect on the whole family dynamics and other interpersonal relationships.”

Hypnosis can be one of the quickest, safest, unobtrusive, most effective and above all, fun tools available today for working with children. Most children are open to new experiences, suggestions  and solutions - they are naturally inquisitive, possess vivid imaginations and a willingness to take in new ideas and information. Their ability to visualise and for imaginative play increases and allows for easy and fun interventions.

Using a wide variety of techniques including visualisation, stories and fairytales, favourite superheroes, puppets, role playing and games and sleeping hypnosis*can help a child follow a path of positive suggestions whilst feeling totally safe, comfortable and at ease.

For older children, other techniques such as using their own dreams, desires, visualisation andstories are used to evolve imagination - the gateway to the subconscious mind, creating a space in which changes can be made. Metaphors and images can easily be woven and drawn into the mind - becoming amazing and fun tools/resources for the children to use and integrate into their everyday lives.

Often the session will be recorded - or a specially structured recording made for the child to listen to at home between sessions. Most children really enjoy having a personalised CD or recording and the suggestions made often spill over into other areas of the child's life with parents noticing more positivity, increased confidence, reduction in stress or anxiety, better relationships and social situations, more at ease, better focus and that their children just seem happier, more relaxed, have more energy and sleep better. Older children may also be taught self-hypnosis.

In certain circumstances, it is helpful to conduct the sessions in your child's home where they are most at ease.

Sessions are tailored to each individual child's needs. Often it is beneficial to meet with parents to discuss the issues before seeing the child, this may be over the phone or in person.

*Sleeping hypnosis - in some cases, when children are very young, once I have met with the parent/s and observed the child, rather than working directly with the child, I will record a carefully structured therapy intervention, which they listen to each night as they go to sleep.

Often when working with younger children, I include a powerful, non-intrusive, simple, effective and totally safe process which is very beneficial in improving a child’s self-esteem and confidence, and in changing or eliminating any negative and limiting behaviours or habits.

Through this easy to learn program, I will meet with and work alongside the parents, and guide them on how to conduct the procedure with their sleeping child. Through this process your child’s self-esteem and confidence will gently grow. Once significant changes are noticed in this area, it is possible to add supportive suggestions to address specific negative or limiting behavioural patterns or habits. The variety of issues that can be addressed is huge, including fears, phobias, sleep problems, eating issues, friendship and social problems, anxiety, toileting issues, and so much more.

This process allows your child to develop emotional resilience, protecting them against negative suggestions which may be preventing them from being the best they can be.

It takes commitment from you as the parent, however, it is a gift that will be appreciated and your child will benefit from for a lifetime as the advantages make it so worthwhile. Parents often notice not only positive changes in the child and their behaviour, but also huge shifts in the whole family’s dynamics and relationships; resulting in happy children, happy parents and therefore a happier family.
